VOLUNTEER WITH US
Penmaenmawr Historical Society & Museum is run entirely by volunteers in their free time.
If you are interested in the history of Penmaenmawr, Penmaenan, Capelulo and Dwygyfylchi and surrounding areas, and you are looking for something that will help you learn new skills and meet new friends, volunteering with us may be just the ticket!
We are a friendly and active group with a broad range of skills and knowledge. We have lots of roles available for volunteers at the museum, including:
meeting and greeting visitors
writing and curating exhibitions
cataloguing our collection
typing and office work
cleaning and accessibility
helping with talks and walks
serving customers in our coffee shop
researching history topics
To support these roles, there is a programme of in-house volunteer training, and occasionally we secure grants for exciting volunteer training initiatives such as oral history recording and editing, archaeology and British Sign Language.
