Please note the temporary closure of the Gallery and Coffee Shop from 24th April to 1st May. Check our facebook page for latest information. The shop is open as normal.
From 1st April, Opening Hours are
Wednesday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Thursday to Sunday
10:00 am to 4:00 pm
From 15th January 2024 to end of March a Warm Hub will operate in the coffee shop on Saturdays and Sundays from 11;00am to 2:00pm
The museum is not open on Monday or Tuesday

The museum will close for visitors on 24th December and reopen at Easter time in 2025

DIRECTIONS
Travelling by road to the nearest car-park:
Leave the A55 at Junction 16, signposted Penmaenmawr.
Follow the road for approx. 0.7miles, into the town centre’s high street, until you reach traffic lights.
Turn left at the traffic lights.
Turn right after approx. 15 metres, into Fernbrook Road car-park.
Please check the parking meter to see if charges apply on the day you are visiting.
There is a footpath to the high street between Penmaenmawr Library and the public toilets (near the top of the car park).
Follow the footpath until you emerge onto the high street and turn right.
Follow the pavement straight ahead, passing Spar on your right, crossing the road towards Cambrian Suites, and continue for approx. 100 metres.
Penmaenmawr Museum is on the right, opposite the Mountain View bunkhouse.
Travelling by bus:
Penmaenmawr is served by the 5 and X5 bus services from Llandudno and Bangor.
The service runs every 15 minutes to/from both directions during the day (with a reduced service on Sundays).
Arriving at Penmaenmawr by bus, disembark at the Spar shop, and passing Spar on your right, cross the road towards Cambrian Suites, and continue for approx. 100 metres.
Penmaenmawr Museum is on the right, opposite the Mountain View bunkhouse.
Travelling by train:
Penmaenmawr Railway Station is on the Chester to Holyhead main line and there are regular trains to Penmaenmawr from either direction.
From the station, follow Paradise Road (please note the hill is moderately steep) until it reaches the junction of Brynmor Terrace (approx. 0.25miles).
Turn left and continue until you reach the high street.
Turn left and cross the road at the crossing. When you reach the pavement turn left and continue for approx. 40 metres.
Penmaenmawr Museum is on the right, opposite the Mountain View bunkhouse.
